Last thursday and friday took place the second part of "Histoire d'un mur" in Nantes, France. This French festival takes place all the summer. A wall has been put. Each thursday and friday artists will paint this wall and it will be destroyed on monday. We discovered Tober and Kool T and talk with Tilt.

Artmore : Hi Tilt, how happenned this project with you?

Tilt : I'm happy to be there, people who organized this festival made another project last year that i liked. This year, they decided to put a real wall, not a wood wall. It's perfect for this kind of project. We are going to paint with 2 others artists during 2 days and cover it at the end of the day. I like to paint on a wall, i like the stuff, the material.

Artmore : What are your projects?

Tilt : I leave in Detroit next month for 2 projects. First one a "commercial" project in a big shopping center, artists will paint all the basement. With this project, i could pay the other project more personnal "Beautification project". I will paint in the streets of Detroit. Then i will leave in Cologne, Germany for a traditional project call "City leaks" for indoor and outdoor projects. On september 14th i will leave in Beirut for an outdoor project./

Jeudi et vendredi dernier se tenait la 2ème session d'"Histoire d'un mur" à Nantes" qui a lieu pendant tout l'été à Nantes. Un mur a été installé, des artistes travaillent dessus tous les jeudi et vendredi et le mur est recouvert le vendredi soir par les artistes eux-mêmes. L'occasion de découvrir Tober et Kool T et de revoir et discuter avec l'artiste Toulousain Tilt. 

Artmore : Bonjour Tilt, comment s'est passé ce projet avec toi?

Tilt : Je suis content d'être là, les organisateurs d'"Histoire d'un mur" avaient réalisés un autre projet l'année dernière qui était bien. Cette année ils ont montés un vrai mur, pas une pallisade en bois. C'est parfait pour ce genre de projet, le côté éphémère de la chose. Le principe est de peindre pendant 2 jours et de le recouvrir nous-même à la fin. C'est un vrai projet réfléchi. J'ai aimé l'idée du mur, de la peinture, c'est bien pour ce genre de thème. J'aime la matière de ce mur, du support.

Artmore : Tes projets immédiats?

Tilt : Je dois aller à Détroit en août pour 2 projets. Le premier plutôt "business" dans un énorme centre commercial qui se monte dans la ville, des artistes viennent peindre les sous-sol. Ce projet va me servir à financer un projet plus personnel "Beautification project" qui consiste à mettre l'art dans la rue à Détroit. Ensuite je pars à Cologne pour un projet plus traditionnel "City leaks". La ville s'associe à certaines galeries pour faire des évènements indoor et outdoor en graffiti. Le 14 septembre je pars à Beyrouth pour un projet graffiti outdoor avec une grosse façade à peindre.
